Some better category hierarchy display when looking at a post…

Per feedback from @msiep

When looking at a post (like this one here) as well as the category drop-down, the relation between parent and child categories (in this case Feedback & Support and Community Forum) is not clear. It looks like this is just two categories.

It would be better if the two were more connected visually or something to indicate the relationship better. Alternatively, hiding the parent category entirely might be ok.

Perhaps some CSS hacks could help?

Of course, there’s only one level possible here, so any case of two listings, the first is always the parent. There’s no actual ability to be in two unrelated categories (as though they were tags). So, we may just get used to it.
