We speculate a lot why people donate and how they decide what amount to give. GitHub just ask after they did.
I think that is a good opportunity and we should consider that too.

We should indeed have some automatic optional follow-up with people as soon as they pledge and maybe even for people who sign up without pledging. Very good idea.
